Growing up, I turned to drawing, painting, and Copic Markers to express the whimsy of my inner world, and my early steps towards “projects” often turned into presents for family, teachers, and friends. This leaning towards creativity in my free time made pursuing graphic design in undergrad a natural fit.
In my studies and long hours in the design lab, the practice of utilizing my art as a functional tool and as a force for positive change in others’ lives deeply resonated with me, which led me to pursue opportunities in spaces that emphasized these goals.
After receiving my BFA from Samford University, I accepted a director position at a growing church in Birmingham. I find great personal interest in the merging of faith and design; it is still incredible to me that these pillars of my life are now combined into my career.
Beyond creative work, I’ve enjoyed building a life for myself in Birmingham, Alabama. I am also a collector of:
- small things (matchboxes, scarves, paintings for my gallery wall)
- pastimes (matcha making, violin playing, golf struggling)
- anything that's purple (my lifelong favorite color)
